The Drake Tribe:
Wardens of the Everburning Flame

About
The Drake Tribe is a Roleplay free company founded on Mateus as of 2019. The goal of the free company is to create a tribal experience based on the Seekers of the Sun. The FC portrays a sept of the Drake Tribe that has separated from the Drakes of Forgotten Springs to start a new life in the South Eastern Sagolii. To emulate this, we have a mansion to represent our tribe’s stronghold out in the Sagolii and conduct the majority of our RP in Southern Thanalan. Such RP may include the classic hunting and gathering but may include other themes such as religious rituals and ceremonies and tribal warfare. While we try to stick to the established lore of the Drake Tribe, we have created some of our own lore to include additional holidays and traditions to enhance the Roleplay.
On the OOC side of things, we do a number of activities that include both PVE, PVP, and Crafting, though these are not the focus of the FC and are far from being required activities. Those that do wish to partake in these activities are encouraged to. Those interested in planning an OOC activity should express their interest in discord or contact one of the officers. For crafters, we have crafting stations in the main house as well as a bank where we store materials gathered out in the field or from our Company Airship. We also have people experienced in crafting for those seeking help or advice on getting started. Outside of FF14, we have a movie night in our discord and play a variety of games as well. These activities are not restricted to just our FC members but are extended to our friends and allies. Outside of RP, our focus is to have fun and have people we can hang out with after a long day of work.

Chieftain U'kesh Nunh
U'kesh Nunh is Chieftain of the Sept and is one of the Sept's original Founders. He can often be found in the Hall of Judgement holding court or can be found in the nursery with his son and daughters. He can be easy going around those he deems as allies, but can be ruthless to those that he sees as a threat to his tribe.
High-Priestess U'jura Sigmo
U’jura Sigmo is the high Priestess of the sept. Her main duties are tending the shrine and leading the sept in faith and culture. She can often be found working on making more medicines and salves for the tribe or taking care of the kits and giving them their early education. She is also a mother of two, and she spends some time in the kitchens as well. She is a very lax person when not doing her duties and is very strict and stern during ceremonies and sermons, but generally treats others with respect and does her best to make everyone feel welcomed. To her enemies, she is evil incarnate as she enjoys making anyone that threatens her tribe suffer.

High-Shaman U'siria Mhedjai
A tiny Seeker woman, standing at a whopping four fulms and eleven ilms tall, weighing a grand total of one-hundred and eleven ponzes. A native of the Sagolii Desert, she has naturally tanned skin and golden caramel brunette hair and fur, and ruby red eyes. Her most notable physical feature are the long dark brown-almost black tufts at the tips of her upright ears. (Caracal ears)
She is a tribal shaman, housing the Drake totem spirit; U'kukhul'khan -- The Great Golden Solar Drake. As a shaman, she has a version of the Echo that allows her the ability to communicate with spirits both great and small, form a connection to the spirit realm, power to heal the sick, and even escort souls of the dead to the afterlife.
Warmaster Ubaiame Sagarid
The Warlord of the Firespeakers, a shamanistic branch of the U tribe that once resided out in Paglth'an, but was shoved out of their ancestral home by the sudden appearance of tempered creatures and people en masse. Most of the clan, themselves, had fallen under this corruption, and she fought her way to the closest U sept with two tribe sisters that escaped alongside her.
She is a bull-headed woman, but open to changing her mind if one can convince her to talk things through. It is reflected in her prowess, being a jack of all trades when it comes to fighting, healing, or aetherical magicks, with the bulk of her strength in summoning aether blades and augmentation

Laws
Like every society, laws have been established to maintain safety and order. While some laws come from traditions spanning back several generations, others are relatively new. The reasons for why a law is created varies and can often be attributed to some form of crisis or challenge the Tribe or Sept has come across. Rarely will a law be removed.
In most cases, the Chieftain and the Sept's council are in-charge of creating and upholding the law. While it is not mandatory, the council will often invite the Sept to observe what is referred to as "Judgement" or the law process. In most Judgements, the Sept will be asked for their input right before the Chieftain and the Council make their decision on the matter at the time. Their input is then considered and then Council adds their input as well. With both the Council's and Sept's input, the Chieftain then decides how to move forward based on the input given and the current laws of the sept. It should be noted that the Chieftain can overrule the Sept and the Council, though such must be done carefully and with good reason. Often, a compromise will be made that will satisfy both the Council and the Sept while also upholding the current laws and traditions. Whatever the Chieftain decides will then be considered law from that moment onwards. Turning a deaf ear to the words of the Chieftain is inadvisable for those that wish to keep them.
Sept Law
All members of the tribe will worship and respect Azeyma the Warden, Keeper of the Sun without fail, lest they rather be banished to the sands.
All members of the tribe will respect the Tribe’s Totem or will be brought before the council for Judgement.
The Chieftain's word is law. Those that turn a deaf ear to the chief will no longer have ears.
The will of the Chieftain’s Council is to be respected as if their word comes from the Chieftain themself.
Tribal traditions will be performed and respected by all members of the tribe. Those that take issue may privately seek an audience with the council or forever hold their tongue.
Actions with the intent of harming the tribe will be considered treason. Intent will be determined through interrogation and judgement.
The murder of a tribemate in unsanctioned combat is unacceptable.
Physical assault of a tribemate is unacceptable outside of sanctioned combat.
All forms of theft are unacceptable.
The Nunh may only be challenged by a Tia of the sept that has undergone his rites of passage.
Relationships may exist outside the Nunhship and the tribe so long as the Council is made aware.
Females may only breed with the intent to have children with the Nunh of the Tribe.
The Nunh may not breed with the intent to have children with those outside the Tribe.
Tia may not engage in intercourse with the intent to have children.
Laws of the Territory
Outsiders must abide by the Sept's Laws and customs while on the lands of the Drake.
Only those that have gone through the rites of passage may hunt on Drake lands. Kits and other tribe members that have yet to do so, must be accompanied by a hunter. Outsiders must gain permission from the Chieftain.
Outsiders must be accompanied by a member of the Tribe at all times while in the Stronghold. Outsiders that are guests of one of the Drakes do not have the same restriction except when around the Nursery.
Tribe Members that bring guests to the stronghold or territory will be held responsible for their actions. Should a guest commit a crime against the tribe, the host will be asked to correct the issue or share their fate.
Those entering the home of the sept must remove their footwear and wash off any sand or blood from their bodies.
Combat may not occur inside the house except in a designated sparring area with an unbiased judge. Approve can be gain through: The Chieftain, Council, Priest, Shaman, or Ranger.
OOC Rules
FC Rules
Abide by the lore of FFXIV ARR and its expansions.
No one in the FC is the Warrior of Light, a Scion, or an Ascian.
Understand that IC conflicts are not to be taken OOC and vice-versa. Keep IC separate from OOC.
IC actions have IC consequences. If a character decided to break one of the rules of the tribe, the character will be disciplined. This is not personal and will not reflect a player’s OOC standing towards the FC.
OOC harassment of another player is not allowed regardless of their FC or their history.
Any ERP will be done in private and will stay out of FC chat. Under no circumstances will a member be expected to or forced to ERP.
If a player starts to feel uncomfortable with a situation in roleplay, then it is time to stop and/or allow the player to leave respectfully.
FC members are expected to participate ICly and/or OOCly. This could mean attending events or helping another member progress.
Real Life comes before gameplay and roleplay. No one will be penalized for missing an event due to their real-life situation.
Discord Rules
All FC rules apply to the discord!
Respect admins and moderators. Assigned moderators are trying to keep the peace and ensure the discord does not get too disorganized!
Be respectful to fellow FC members! Do not intentionally cause conflict or harass members.
Do no bring outside drama to the discord! If another member is actively causing a problem, please bring it up with moderator or admin!
Please respect the topics of each channel. NSFW content goes in the NSFW channel! Salt goes into the Salt Mines! Spoilers go in the spoiler channel!
How to Join
To join the Drake Tribe, first you must contact one of the FC's officers or U'kesh in-game or on Discord! For those wishing to take a less direct approach may apply to join the FC in-game with the apply option. Upon contacting an FC officer or applying in-game, you will be asked several questions relating to your Character.
Once approved, your character will be required to meet the Tribe Icly in what the Tribe calls Judgement. Your character will be asked a set of questions in front of the tribe, relating to their background and reasons for wanting to join. The Tribe will then vote on whether they think the character is worthy of undergoing through the Rites of Acceptance. If they vote no, do not worry. This means that the character must first earn the trust of the tribe before progressing. You will still be a member OOCly and will have plenty of opportunities to become a member or ward of the Tribe.
